RULES AND FEES

RULES:

1. All anglers agree to the fishing and boating laws and safety regulations laid down by the Queensland Government and Authorities.

2. All anglers agree to fish in QFFT competitions at their own risk and in a responsible way and in a safe manor, including fishing permits and all boating safety gear it is not QFFT's obligation to make sure your boat is safe.

3. It is agreed the Queensland Freshwater Fishing Tournaments will take no responsibility for property or personal harm or damages.

4. QFFT has the right to resolve any dispute between anglers at a round table talk with all parties if they cannot resolve the issue themselves.

5. There is no such thing as "MY SPOT" on dams, if you leave where you are another angler has the right to enter that spot.

6. All anglers will use fishing etiquette if a boat is fishing and you wish to come within 30 meters ask politely, if told no move on, if ok do not go closer than 30 meters apart.

7. When approaching another boat always slow down and be courteous and use electric motor when possible.

8. Starting positions will be drawn at briefing after all registrations have been finalised.

9. There is no trolling while fishing QFFT competitions, you must cast and retrieve if you are wind drifting your electric motor must be in water and you must be seen to be casting and retrieving in a normal fishing manner.

10. There is to be no sounding or fishing outside of the session times while at competitions.

11. It is the responsibility of the anglers to look after fish in live wells and to make sure no undersize fish is kept.

12. Weighing in sick fish is allowed it is the officials choice, if sick or not. If fish does not swim away at release it will deemed dead and a 250 point loss from weigh in.

13. All anglers to be back to weigh in point before end of session and place tag on board at weigh in station times or a penalty will apply of 250 points up to first 5 minutes and then 10 points every 5 minutes thereafter.2

14. Rule 13 does not apply if your boat is broken down, but you must notify officials prior to session end and ask another boat for help to return to shore.

15. If for any reason anglers need to leave the competition at any time during the competition tags are to be placed on board and officials notified before leaving.

16. Prefishing anglers are not allowed to fish on dam of competition after the Sunday 5 days before competition starts, example if competition starts on Saturday 10th January you are not allowed to be on that dam after Sunday 6pm on the 5th January (5 days before).

17. All grand final prefish bans are 14 days prior to competition.

18. Prefish day for grand finals starts at 6am and finishes at 4pm on the Friday of the grand final anyone not off water by 4pm may lose entry to grand finale.

19. All juniors are classed as juniors if they are 16 and under during the competition year.

20. To enter grand final all anglers must have all fees paid and those that have fished all 5 or more rounds in the competition year will have automatic entry into the grand final providing they make the top 40. Only the top 40 senior anglers in points will be qualified to fish grand final if number 40can not make it number 41 steps up and so on.

21. There is 2 fish per angler to be weighed in at end of each session weigh in points are on weight system.

22. If on the water you have a sick fish it can be weighed in by finding official and weigh in the fish you cannot upgrade that fish once weighed in.

23. If you weigh in 2 fish while on the water you are to stop fishing, if there is a second angler on the boat, they are permitted to continue fishing.

24. In team events one member of the team must be a member of QFFT but to fish Grand final all anglers must be registered members.

25. Charter operators who wish to fish QFFT competitions must follow all prefish rules as anglers therefore you cannot hold charters on that dam during prefish close times.

26. The most important rule of all, Fishing is to be enjoyed by all so treat all others on and out of the water at all QFFT competitions with respect as you would like to be treated and enjoy the event.

27. QFFT has the right to ask any member to leave the competition at any time if found to be abusive or disrespectful to others including all sponsors and affiliated persons including any media. You may forfeit their membership and not be allowed to fish any further QFFT competitions. Any angler may appeal QFFT's decision at any time but must do so in a timely and polite manner the said tournament or no later than 14 days after. Where then admin and the angler and two other members whom both parties agree on will convene to discuss the matter, after this time the decision will be final.

28. All anglers will be awarded points towards AOY as follows - 1st Place 100 points they get extra10 points for winning so total 110 points. - 2nd place 99 points and so on down the leader board at end of each tournament.

29. All juniors fish free and automatic entry into grand final but do not take place of senior anglers in grand final.

30. Anglers cannot pay a charter person to fish QFFT competitions as in a charter.

31. All decisions by the director of the tournament are final.

32. All winners of every round are to be present at presentation following every round. If you leave for non-urgent matters, then your prize or cash will be forfeited to the next angler in the prize pool. You will still receive your points towards AOY and Grand Final.
